I was trying to install a copy of Windows 2012R2 on a Hyper-V install on my Windows 8.1 laptop and continually got this error, after selecting the version I wanted to install.
“Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation”.
Initially I thought it was a duff ISO I had downloaded so re-downloaded it, but still got the same error.
The problem was down to the fact it didn’t have enough memory. As this was a test system on my laptop I thought I would be smart and enable Dynamic Memory, but obviously this didn’t work for the install. Once I gave the VM extra RAM the install went without a hitch.
Another couple of hours of my life wasted…… Think I will have to do a quick read up of this Dynamic Memory Option….
